nah you should start by getting some simple beat making programs that have the turntable effects and try your skills there then if you like get some turntables and integrate that to your computer and make some sick beats!

A very easy way to do it (well I think it sounds good anyway) is to put a drum beat off a keyboard through a guitar pedal or something similar.
